Weddings, Weddings, Weddings

The challenge this fortnight at Dream Valley Challenges is Weddings/Love just in time for one of our DT's upcoming nuptials!  The sponsor for this challenge is One Stop Card Crafts.

Now we don't normally have a lot of weddings to attend.  Most of our siblings and friends are married.  This year though we have 2 weddings already coming up in May.  One of those is my sister and her fiance.  She's not super crafty and doesn't scrapbook.  They are not hiring a professional photographer, just little ol' me.  I decided to create a folio/album for their photos.

I'd love to take credit for the design of the folio but I can't.  Kathy at Paper Phenomenon created this design.  She made hers with a Christmas theme but I thought it would be great for a wedding.  She sells her tutorials and has some wonderful creations!  Love her work!  Go check it out.   The patterned paper is a stack from DCWV called The Bella Armoire.  It's a beautiful collection and about 1/2 the stack has the shiny embossing on it.    It also has some sayings that I need to cut apart and add here and there.  Took these pics late so lighting is not real great.  Their colors are black and purple so you'll find all the photo mats contain purple.

This is a rather large project measuring 10" x 12 1/2" so it was hard to photograph when all opened up.

The front all closed up

A close up of the front embellishments.  I inked the 3 white/purple flowers and glimmer misted them.

Here it is opened.  Down the middle section are 12 pockets that hold 4x6 photos and each has photo mat in it.  It's hard to tell but there are 6 more pockets under these.

Here is a side flap opened up.  The piece with the purple mat has a 4x6 mat on each side and stays closed with a magnet.  Below the open flap are 2 pockets that hold 4x6 mats and a larger pocket that holds a 5x7

Here you can see the 2 layers of 4x6 pockets with the purple photo mats peeking out.

This is a shot of the back with all the pockets flipped to the sides.  You can see a great big mat for an  8 1/2 x 11 print.
This is the large mat flipped up.  A second large photo can be added to the backside of the flap and I've also added a large mat in the big pocket on the back of the folio.  It also have smaller pockets layered on top with 4x6 mats in them.

Finally here is the right side/inside of the cover, again with the magnetic closure.

As you can see this folio can hold a ton of pictures.  I love how it turned out.  I'm going to give her this with a disposable adhesive roller so she can add her own photos where she wants.  I hope she likes it.

Now I have 1 month to make another for DH's cousin who is our other wedding coming up.

Your turn to create a project with a wedding/love theme and enter our challenge.  Can't wait to see everyone's creations.  Head over and check out the rest of the DT's creations.  They are all wonderful!  Get craftin'!
